Camp Rules




----From the Chefs----


  • You may come up for seconds after everyone has gone through the line.
  • Drink lots of water & Snacks will be available.
  • Snacks and crafts in lodge— You may take extra snacks from the lodge before 9pm if you get hungry at night to eat in your cabin later, the lodge and area around the lodge closes @ 9pm for the chefs who are sleeping.
  • Check cabins for kitchen chore assignments!



----------Nurse-------



  • Drink lots of water
  • If you have a tendancy for car sickness bring emesis/barf bags  and take dramamine medication
  • Review all prescription medications with the  Nurse when you arrive  at camp.
  • All  Narcotic medication will be dispensed, for youth, by nurse.   Inform your Cabin Mom or Unit leader that you will be seeing the nurse. Routine medications or perscriptions will be the responsibility of the youth to take and kept with them.  If the Youth will need reminder to take medication their adult level leader will need to be informed.
  • If sick or hurt go to Nurses station
  • Protect yourself from the mosquito’s & damp; Do not touch the bats
  • Report any new updates on health to Nurse when arrive at camp
  • Wash Hands after activities and before eating—keep good hygiene


------------Lifeguards---------




  • No one allowed in water without lifeguard on duty
  • Wear sun screen, sun glasses, and modest swim wear
  • Listen to lifeguards—Be safe—Water time is a privilege please don’t abuse the rules
  • Water time is ONLY available when lifeguards are on duty—water is OFF LIMITS all other times
  • If you brought a life vest mark yours with your name
  • Do not leave swim area without clothing over swim wear
  • The “buddy system” is required in water
  • You must take and pass basic BSA swim test to Swim



-----------Service---------

Mingle with others---get to know at least 1 new girl every day. Be on time Participate in Service project with your level







---------General Rules----------




  • Carry Camp schedule with you so you know what is happening next.
  • Don’t deface or destroy Camp Haluco, pick up garbage, do not write on cabins, no graffiti,
  • Do not put holes in cabins, even thumbtacks.
  • Air Horn/Whistle
  • 1=Send a runner to lodge from each cabin'
  • 2=Everyone meet in own cabin immediately
  • 3=Everyone to gathering area
  • 4=Everyone in Lodge
  • 5=Immediately go to Parking Lot (Emergency)
  • Sleep in assigned cabins no switching cabins------No sleeping outside';
  • No leaving camp Haluco without prior approval by Camp Director
  • No riding in carts, they are for personal gear & damp; equipment only
  • Wear shoes at all times—no bare feet
  • Modest dress at all times
  • Maximum of 1 shower/day , Shower at assigned times and days.
  • No cell phones, Ipods
  • No Hair dryers or Curling irons or any electric appliances.- the cabins have air  conditioning but the power source will not support other appliances. 
  • Lost and Found is located on the porch at the main pavilion
  • New information will be displayed on a board outside the main Pavilion. Please check it often
